Research and Development

There are many new and exciting developments occurring in the field of User Interface design today. Technologies like Voice Biometrics, Speech Recognition and Analytics, Natural Language Understanding, Big Data and Semantic Analysis are all developing at a rapid pace. Together with our partners, Gyst is developing new and improved ways to leverage and enhance these technologies in order to better serve our clients.

Big Data and Analytics

Big data is a term used to describe the recent, exponential growth and availability of structured and unstructured data. This is very important to business because more data can lead to more accurate analyses. More accurate analyses may lead to more confident decision making and personalization for the user experience. Better decisions can mean greater operational efficiencies, cost reductions and reduced risk. We are currently exploring ways to leverage this aspect of computing in caller and user personalization.

Semantic Analysis

When properly implemented, semantic analysis provides a deeper understanding of user intent and helps guide those same users to high-value interactions. This helps improve customer satisfaction, increase customer loyalty, and drive higher conversion. A well designed SA algorithm for automated phone calls combines acoustic and linguistic parameters  for optimal performance. Short of extremes, the majority of callers emotions are rarely detected by the standard Voice User Interface analytic programs. This can result in lost marketing opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling to the customer.

Mobile Applications

Currently, there are more than five billion mobile phone subscribers worldwide. In the US alone, over 42% of wireless subscribers carry a smart phone. Nowadays, your customers are more connected than ever. That means they have more choices than ever. An enterprise that fails to recognize the importance of this global shift to a mobile, connected world will surely lose ground to its competitors. At Gyst, we are exploring ways to offer highly personalized user experiences via the mobile device.
